It points to single-parent families, blended families, shared-custody arrangements and families whose child has learning difficulties as situations where homework can be a particular challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n That same report sets out three directions for schools: hold a collective reflection on homework locally, make homework support equitable and consistent, and treat that support as an opportunity for closer collaboration between the school, the family and the community.
